KeyBank Begins Multi-Year Court Sponsorship at Ladera Sports Center
LADERA RANCH, Calif. – (Sept. 4, 2019) – Ladera Sports Center announced today that KeyBank has signed a multi-year court sponsorship at its 63,000-square-foot facility.
The court sponsorship includes court branding, a 10-foot premium banner located next to the scoreboard, a 15-second, constantly rotating video projected on the facility’s video board, interactive media package, and a declaration announced to all guests of the sports center.

Second Annual 3-on-3 Charity Basketball Tournament to Be Held August 18
Ladera Sports Center will host its second annual 3-on-3 fundraising basketball tournament on Saturday, August 18 to raise money for the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life.
The tournament will include youth and adult competitive and recreational games with a double elimination format, games to 20 points or 20 minutes, and a guaranteed minimum of four games. The cost to register a team is $99. All team members, volunteers, and donors who contribute $25 or more will receive a commemorative 3-on-3 t-shirt.
The basketball tournament is part of Ladera Sports Center’s annual campaign to raise funds to support those affected by cancer, including those currently fighting and those facing future diagnoses.
“Last year more than 30 teams participated in the 3-on-3 tournament, and we raised $12,000. This year’s goal is 60 teams and $20,000,” said Steve Williams, chief executive officer of Ladera Sports Center. “Thanks to the generosity of the many people who participate, we are able to make a significant contribution to the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life.”

Three-Time NBA Champion Klay Thompson to Host Basketball Camp at Ladera Sports Center August 6 - 8
Ladera Sports Center announced today that three-time NBA champion and four-time NBA All-Star Klay Thompson has selected the state-of-the-art sports facility as the host location of the Klay Thompson Basketball Camp August 6 – 8.
Thompson, a shooting guard with the Golden State Warriors, graduated from Santa Margarita Catholic High School in Rancho Santa Margarita. In his career with the Warriors, he has won three NBA championship titles, become a four-time NBA All-Star, and was named NBA All-Rookie First Team in 2012. He and teammate Stephen Curry set a record of 484 combined three-pointers in the 2014-2015 season, earning the teammates the title of the Splash Brothers. Thompson also became an Olympic Gold Medalist with the United States national team’s win at the 2016 Rio Olympics. He is the son of famed NBA power forward and center Mychal George Thompson, whose career included four years with the Los Angeles Lakers, from 1987 to 1981, where he became a two-time NBA champion.
“I am excited to have my camp in Orange County, where I went to high school,” said Thompson. “I am looking forward to hanging out with the kids and most importantly, I just want everyone to have fun.”
The three-day Klay Thompson Basketball Camp is open to boys and girls between the ages of eight and 15, regardless of skill level. The camp will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily and will help players of all abilities develop athletically, refine fundamental skills and enhance their abilities at the post, wing or guard position.

Athletes at the Klay Thompson Basketball Camp will receive tips and hands-on instruction from Thompson and his coaches, including lectures, fundamental basketball skills stations, contests, and scrimmage games in a high-energy, fun, and positive environment. The camp will be split into eight leagues based on age and talent level, with four teams in each league.

Ladera Sports Center Kicks Off New Season of Southern California Volleyball Association
Ladera Sports Center, a multi-sport facility dedicated to providing state-of-the-art indoor programs and events, announced today the start of another season of Southern California Volleyball Association (SCVA) Volleyball. Play will be held over 13 weekends, beginning this Saturday, November 18 and running through June 17, 2018.
“The Ladera Sports Center team is excited to kick off the new season of the Southern California Volleyball Association that will help so many young athletes develop and broaden their volleyball fundamentals, as well as sharpen their team-player skills,” said Steve Williams, chief executive officer of Ladera Sports Center.
Spectators are encouraged to attend the weekend tournaments. Admission is $7 for ages 11 and up, and $5 for children ages 6-10. Children under the age of six are free. Parking will be $15. Ladera Sports Center to Host Full Rules Muay Thai Kickboxing Tournament on October 7
Ladera Sports Center announced today that it will host the Muay Thai California 4 kickboxing tournament on October 7, featuring 15 amateur bouts and eight professional bouts.
“This is the first kickboxing event held at Ladera Sports Center, and we are excited to share our state-of-the-art facility with competitors, coaches and kickboxing fans,” said H. Michael Schwartz, the developer of Ladera Sports Center. “The center was designed with both athletes and audience in mind.”
Sanctioned by International Kickboxing Foundation Muay Thai and the California State Athletic Commission, the tournament will follow the traditional full rules of Muay Thai kickboxing.
The event will begin at Ladera Sports Center at 1:00 p.m. and is expected to conclude at approximately 11:00 p.m. Muay Thai California is a series of eight events hosted throughout the state, and this will be the fourth in the series.
